A house is a book, a plant.
The idea to maintain typology and interiors on this seafront house changed due to found infested woodwork, slabs and partitions. The approach evolved to face a contemporary non-linear mechanics of family in time, with two teenage boys.
A new concrete slab barely touching walls supports the upper wood partitions for sleeping hubs, two new apartments at extremes, prior stone walls visible at circulation in the middle. That core divides and centers life, use, as a dense textured light descends to the ground floor softly through the old stone walls and new dark wood interiors.

Then a few recast of stones, doors, baseboards, railings, composes a new repository, a tapestry as exterior pavement with two new popping glass-eyed cubic bow windows gazing from the living and dining rooms.
An a posteriori open air library from the old interior, cast memory garden in stone, maybe echo of Dimitris Pikionis time roulette pave work on Filopappou hill, facing Acropolis - itself a colossus of historical revisitations, chance disasters and collages.

Sloterdijk in Spheres refers Hofeland's theory, which preceded Freud, of explaining the fetus-mother relationship as a sensory plant, in the symbiotic state between the stone and the interdependent sensorial.

The ocean movement and rumor at the end of the plot seems to agree with this thought, as the leaves and branches of the trees along the avenue framing the neighborhood tremble.
